Kitlosi is one the official artist of the game. The developer is known for using generative AI (such as the old maple syrup and medkit icon) in the game and continued to use AI, which led to Kitlosi resignation.
I just now saw this so I might be a bit late, but here’s the response Roytt issued due to the controversy surrounding the AI placeholder images.

How do we feel about this? I'm honestly not sure if I want to keep supporting this game. They've had more than one chance.
I noticed how odd this is, do you think theres some kind of reason why? What do you guys think?

Don’t get me wrong, Roytt using AI was pretty unethical and was a very bad move, but I’ve seen people compare Roytt to someone like Qwel, which is a WHOLE different story.
I don’t think Roytt is an irredeemable person like a lot of people have been saying. Like I said, it’s pretty scummy for Roytt to use AI when he has a fully team of artists, but I’m willing to forgive him if he learns that AI is not acceptable when you have a game this big and a fanbase so dedicated. And also, hopefully this helps him learn that their updates don’t need to be back to back.
From what I learned, the AI images WERE being used as a placeholder due to a lack of time before the update released, and that Roytt DID apologize for it. Although it still doesnt excuse the use of AI, there were never any malicious intentions behind it.
Overall, I really hope Roytt learns from this colossal mess up, and hopefully the community and game can heal. I do appreciate how Roytt states that his statement won’t obviously immediately fix everything and things will just go back to normal, because this kind of stuff will obviously need time to get back on its feet.
Also one last side note: It’s disgusting how I’ve seen some people react about the situation. Kitlosi and other former staff members said VERBATIM to not harass the people who are still working on the game. Do people not remember that harassing someone won’t bring good?
But, yeah, I guess that’s my thoughts about it. What do you guys think?
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Animal Hospital is trying to keep up with Anomaly Cafe.
Let me explain: lately, Anomaly Cafe has been on the rise with beautiful hand-drawn art and other unique features, like, for example, the 2x coin events. I don't remember Animal Hospital doing that at all (now I could be wrong) until Anomaly Cafe started doing 2x events.
Another example is the updates: Animal Hospital used to stretch out its updates to really bring out good content, but now it seems like each update is back-to-back again.
Again, it could be me reading too much into it, but let me know.

I was hesitant about finishing this piece because of what's been happening recently with the use of ai in the game, then it encouraged me even more.
