First scans came back!

Fujifilm 200, Maxxum 7000, 35-105 lens. Used macro on the brake caliper on my bike. Even cooler that there was a Harsco rail tamper in town since I used to work in a rail shop tearing down old tampers and fitting them for brand new equipment.

Crazy how good these look!

It works!!

So my last two posts were no good. The first maxxum 7000 I bought turned out to be a bad body. This one I gambled big on eBay. I won the auction for a whole $16 on this untested unit with the lens. The last 3 photos are of the auction pictures. I love this camera, holy cow. I get the hype now 😅

I am looking forward to learning and posting my pictures!

Thank you everyone that tried to help get my last body working, unfortunately it's been delegated to parts.

Help, film not loading

My maxxum 7000 showed up in the mail today, and I'm super excited to use it. Unfortunately, it's not auto feeding film, and still shows zero no matter what I try.

It has new AAA batteries, and I even replaced the button cell battery just in case, still nothing. I tried to rewind, and that worked (with no film in), but even still, it doesn't want to even attempt to do anything. The viewfinder is blocked by the mirror, but it wasn't when it showed up. I was actually able to dry fire a few times to make sure everything was working, and then it just quit doing that and has been on zero ever since.

It wouldn't kill me if it's a dead body, but it would suck having to buy another and waiting that much longer. Any ideas or help would be fantastic. It would suck if I broke it by dry firing 😅

First ever slr camera, can't wait to get into it!

Photos are from the eBay listing, but I got what I think a heck of a deal on it, $38 plus $12 for shipping. Power tested and that's it, but I'm hopeful about it. Is off the shelf film at a big box store any good, or should I order online?

Hopefully this will be a fun hobby I can get into. I'm open to hearing any suggestions and recommendations that can yield good results. Has a 35-105 lens. I've heard good things about the maxxum 7000's, and figured I'd get into it. Already have a battery on the way too lol
