Foreigners in Wiesbaden, why do you live here?

I was thinking about the fact that Wiesbaden is not a super international city and most of the foreigners I have ran into are tied to the US military base. I was also thinking about my particular case, which is I live here just by chance, because I happened to find an apartment rather easily as opposed to other cities in my shortlist. I work remotely so there's nothing tying to me Wiesbaden in particular, but I've found it pleasant enough that I've stayed for a number of years now.

So I am curious, those of you who are from another country, why do you live in Wiesbaden? How did you choose the city? Is it always for work or family or are there other reasons people choose to live here?

EDIT: Clarification to what I meant by "not super international": Of course I am aware that lots of people here (and all over Germany) have migrant backgrounds, as in they're first generation Germans or they came here as children with their family. I specifically meant (although I picked the wrong adjective), people who moved here as adults for work, studies, or any other reason. For example, there are cities with many more migrant adults, because of things like universities or work opportunities. Since Wiesbaden doesn't have a university (although there are many nearby), I am curious as to the reasons that bring people to this specific city.

EDIT 2: Also want to clarify what I'd like to find out: lots of people move to Wiesbaden because they get a job in FFM, some others because of family or friends being nearby, some other pick it just because it's a great place to live and then fit the other things like job and friendships around that (my case). I am curious to find out what brought people here in the first place. I moved here from Hamburg (originally from antoher country), and there lots of people go to Hamburg for work, for example, and I'm just wondering what are the primary drivers here.

Staying in Oberkirch instead of Lucerne

Hi all! I'm planning a long weekend in Lucerne but I'm finding accommodation expensive and hard to find, so I was wonder, would it be a good idea to stay in Oberkirch instead, and commute, or is it too much hassle? I'm only staying 4 nights. My main goal is yes, visiting Lucerne, going out to eat, drinks, etc. but also relaxing and doing some hiking and swimming (I saw there is a lake near/in Oberkirch that might be less crowded than actual Lucerne?). I am going there in mid july.
