Stop eating in class

I dont know about anyone else, but I’ve had the severe misfortune of sitting in ear-shot im about half of my lectures of someone who decides its appropriate to eat in the middle of a (asides from the professor) silent lecture.
As a first year myself, I would have thought the very basic etiquette of not opening an obnoxious crinkly bag would have been understood by now. Apparently not. So let me just get this PSA out there:
- Your attempts to be subtle while eating are not working, and everyone around you knows.
- Its incredibly disrespectful to other classmates and especially the teachers
- You’re in university you should have enough time management to schedule an appropriate time for yourself to eat.
- It’s not funny or quirky that you need to have a snack in class, stop giggling about it with your friend

I hate you all, grow up. And the next time someone does this in class im taking your food away and throwing it in the bin myself.
(Edit: No, Im not actually going to throw somebody’s food away. Im being hyperbolic omfg get a grip people)

Concession pending for Almost a Month

So I put a Concession in for my language class on the 25th of July as my timetable has a clash, and it’s still awaiting additional assessment. Though it has been ‘escalated to faculty for further assessment’ im concerned it won’t be handled before classes start and/or the enrollment cut off. What should I do?

Law and Eng 102 sem 2

Hey guys!
So I’m in my first year in law and global and I don’t like my conjoint much, so Im changing to an arts degree.

In general Im really struggling to figure out how to swap programs, as google isn’t helping and Im hesitant to talk to SSO as I’ve come to them a few times throughout this first semester and they were incredibly rude and unhelpful.

At the moment Im trying to rearrange my schedule, fortunately I only need to drop one class and swap it for ideally 102 but Im wondering if anybody has a schedule with law 131, 141 & English 102 and if I can take them all together?

Also if anyone has any general advice on how to change programs because I DONT KNOW WHAT IM DOING

To clear up confusion, I have applied for a LLB + Arts for sem 2, its been approved and I have accepted it

I found out I’m related to a professor

Im in my first year of uni and this morning I was doing some readings for my class. I see my last name and because it’s not common, I ask my dad about it. Turns out he’s my grandfathers second cousin and used to teach at UOA and now teaches at AUT. He’s got a doctorate in the degree Ive started. Never heard of him until today but Im kind of interested in learning more / maybe meeting him — though I’m scared it might be a little weird on his end. Im not sure what I can do with this information but my choice of study is pretty competitive so any advice?
