How to recognize Type 1 partners lows during sleep without a CGM.

Me (32 F) and my Wife (28F) recently found out she is a type 1 diabetic (LADA). This will be our second night with her on insulin. Yesterday she was over 600 so I wasnt too scared of a low. Yes we know how horrible those levels were it was before she had any insulin and it was completely unmanaged. Anyways, tonight she took her Lantus long acting 18 units before bed and she was high around 200 when she took it, so im telling myself not to stress, but im scared to go to sleep in case she has a low. She does not have a CGM, so short of a finger prick in her sleep, I wont know her sugars till morning. How can i recognize if she is going low in her sleep? I did make sure to have her GM and a juice box on her bedside table before she fell asleep. I guess im feeling nervous because today was her first full day on insulin and she got down to 72 after eating lunch. She had given her prescribed 4 units before eating but maybe it was because her lunch was two salads and therefore was pretty low carb. I know 72 is not technically low, but im still scared to go to sleep tonight. I want to be able to wake her if anything goes wrong.
