Gavi and other Hole Player CMFs

I have used these HP CMFs in various matches, mostly event matches, and back then before getting higher rated cards. But everytime I have used them, they always perform very solidly, is it the fact that they are Hole Players and CMF default? They mostly have a ton of defensive engagement and aggression, and very smooth and good positioning.
Gavi is the standout, dude is very smooth. The moment you sub him in, you notice the difference in the midfield: ball control, ball-snatching, passing animations, very solid. Anyone with higher rated Gavi cards to confirm, is it the player id or just this card i have?
The rest, Mikel Merino and Zielinski are also great. Zielinski is too smooth for his body size, and Merino, i used to think he is a box-to-box, dude was everywhere and always blocking passing lanes.
I haven't tested the new Zielinski, hope he is better.
