Dont know if its an EFHUB bug but i compared my schmeichek to his last version and noticed the new model is nerfed, is this a thing? Also should I go for the new one if I have the one on the right? Wondering if the power creep is worth it and if the model nerf is real

His new card features the Prolific Winger playstyle and is equipped with Blitz Curler ➕ Momentum Dribbling. This is a massive upgrade over his old Cross Specialist card, which had Edged Crossing ➕ Momentum Dribbling. With long-range shooting buffed in the current meta, Blitz Curler is incredibly effective now. I think the devs purposely made this change to boost the relevance of wingers, giving them the ability to cut inside and threaten the goal directly.

However, when all is said and done, this card is still strictly a winger by playstyle. If you want to fit him into the meta 4-2-2-2 formation, you'll need to use a Position Modifier token to play him at AMF (Attacking Midfielder)—where he’ll end up playing without any active playstyle. Plus, he lacks that ultra-agile, "small, quick, and nimble" dribbling feel that players like Messi or Hazard have.

Before you pull for him, ask yourself one thing: Does your formation actually use wingers? 😧

⚽️ Joan García: ...0-0-9-13-9 ➕ Saving

It feels great to perfectly dump all the remaining progression points into his three main GK stats. In terms of both stats and skills, this card is absolutely maxed out. However, his player model is pretty average, and he doesn't have Permanent B-Form (Unwavering Form). Plus, with a new Schmeichel dropping next week, this card is honestly skip-able.

Oh, by the way, the GK Directing Defense skill doesn't buff Defensive Awareness—it only buffs Tackling.

⚽️ Mbappé: 5-0-9-11-11-3-0 ➕ Breakthrough

Another Mbappé card drops just a short while after the last one. Stat-wise on the panel, it’s barely an upgrade—just Dribbling ⬆️2 and Physical Contact ⬆️2. The massive difference lies in the skills: the old card's "Willpower" was honestly trash, while Blitz Curler is heavily favored in the current meta.

On the other hand, this new card comes with Low Screamer and Phenomenal Finishing, which are both excellent skills.

Even though Blitz Curler is great in this version, it really boils down to personal preference—some players just don't use finesse shots at all.

Finesse shots require a specific playstyle and shooting angle; if you don't utilize them, the skill is completely wasted. Meanwhile, skills like Low Screamer and Phenomenal Finishing integrate naturally into standard Center Forward (CF) scenarios. For example, you can trigger a Low Screamer with a stunning shot whenever there's space at the edge of the box, or use it to boost your conversion rate during half-breakaways and open spaces. This new Mbappé card plays much more like a true "Center Forward."

It's clear what Konami is doing here: no matter how many cards Mbappé gets, they will never give him 4/4 weak foot accuracy, they will never buff his pathetic heading stats even a little bit, and they will never give him Momentum Dribbling. They are absolutely protecting Dembélé's unique meta position.
