This show is visually so reminiscent of laguna beach and honestly scratches a small itch of nostalgia which is what I like about it. There are so many shots where I could clearly see the mtv lb influence. ie ep 1 at Jemma’s party when Dylan and Emma come in together exclaiming ”the party is here” is almost interchangeable with any given Kristen, LC, and Stephen scene circa the early 2000s. But to be fair I’ve only made it to episode 2.

Anyways… the frame pictured in this post promptly shook me out of my Hilary Duff’s Come Clean scored fever dream 🥲 a stark reminder that we may never have the simplicity of life before social media again.
