I'm a Norwood 2. I've been using minoxidil for 2+ years and started finasteride 10 weeks ago.

Im taking 3mg of fin per week is that okay ?

Since starting finasteride, I've had what feels like a major shed and lost around 20% of my hair density. My hair looks much thinner than before, and honestly I'm panicking.

I'm also stressed because some relatives keep telling me that my hair is too long (around 5 cm) and that I'll go bald unless I get a buzz cut. From what I understand, hair length shouldn't affect male pattern baldness, but hearing this constantly is making me anxious.

Has anyone experienced a big shed and noticeable loss of density around 10 weeks on finasteride? Did things eventually stabilize or improve?
