How to talk about early NPD signs
Hello, I’m new to this subreddit but I need some advice really quick. How can I appropriately talk to my parents about possible narcissistic signs? I am a teenager, so I‘m unable to get properly diagnosed. However, I do believe I may be showing early signs of NPD.
I’m not trying to self diagnose or say I truly have NPD. Yes I am a teenager, but I‘ve noticed I don’t show the usual, normal narcissistic tendencies that most teenagers show during this age. Anyways, I have an appointment soon with a pediatrician and I think this is a chance for me to talk about my concerns. Except, I would have to mention this to my parents first.
I’m not worried about whether or not I have the disorder, I just want to know a way I can bring this up without being weird or abrupt.
