Salute to those who can ID a typer from a minimal perspective like the backside.
Originally I saw this opening sketch of "The Worst of the Late Show" and thought of the show recently where Tom Hanks presented Stephen Colbert with an Underwood 'Ace' and noticed that the one on the desk here was not that one. I also found it delightfully odd that the typewriter was on the desk in the first place. But now, hmmmm, what was it? Some in this group are so good at IDing a machine from the slightest of angles. I froze the screen and peered at it intently. The best giveaway I could come up with was - metal bale rollers ... Olivetti? Then watching what followed and the front view I was able to congratulate myself. Bingo. Lucky? I need help for the rest. Is it maybe a 22 or 32? Or is it some plastic evolution from the '60s or '70s? Then I got inspired to add my own dialogue to tie it to the Hanks appearance. (This must have been taped earlier or why wouldn't they have used the Hanks' Underwood, eh?)
