Org fees
Heads up: this is not meant to call out or attack anyone. I’m genuinely just asking for advice and wanting to hear other students’ thoughts and feedback about this situation.
Lately, it feels like students in this specific course are being asked to comply with more and more requirements outside of academics, and honestly, it’s becoming exhausting.😞
There have been several activities and events that students are expected to attend, even during Wellness Breaks — which are supposed to be opportunities for students to rest. Instead, many feel pressured to participate just to avoid additional concerns later on.
What also makes things difficult is the growing number of fees involved. Students already paid around ₱350 for organization-related fees, yet there are still additional payments being announced, including ₱450–₱500 for certain events. For many students, those amounts are already significant, especially on top of daily expenses, projects, transportation, and other academic costs.
Because of this, some students are starting to question whether all of these requirements and expenses are still reasonable and student-friendly.
Students understand the importance of participation and supporting school activities, but hopefully there can also be more consideration for students’ time, finances, rest, and overall well-being.
