The beauty of an album when it places songs in the proper context. I was really mixed on both Riptides and Punching the Flowers (I still can’t get over the title, ditto Envy the Birds, which is my favorite track on the record so far 😂), but after a bunch of listens through in sequence, I appreciate them more and more.

… but overall I’m pretty happy with the record. At first blush I think I like it more than anything since Narrow Stairs. I reserve the right to change my mind.
