The jump in graphics from the beginning to the end of the PS2 era was crazy

The announcement of the Resident Evil Code Veronica remake got me thinking of the original (well technically the PS2 version). To me, it's crazy to think that both Code Veronica X and Resident Evil 4 were from the same console generation. The RE1make and RE0 were even better looking than RE4, but probably not a fair comparison to Code Veronica since they did not use full 3D environments. Developers really made huge leaps and bonds in graphics during the 5 year period between Code Veronica and RE4. Whereas today I can't even tell the difference in graphics between some PS4 games released over 10 years ago and modern PS5 games.

Top 10 hitters in xwOBA as of June 1st, 2026 (min 100 plate appearances)

Crazy that Yordan Alvarez appears to be getting unlucky based on the batted ball data. Not sure if he can maintain this level, but his xwOBA is higher than Judge's 0.481 xwOBA in 2024. Wood and Judge also appear to be unlucky so far. Rice has gone from unlucky last year to lucky this year.

In Season 2 Episode 3 of The Boys (2019-2026), Homelander has an injured Hughie and "the Boys" trapped in a sewer. They get away despite his superior speed, strength, and x-ray vision, but fans wouldn't start complaining about plot armor and teasing fights without a payoff until years later.
