Tigers Get Tough Reality Check Surrounding Tarik Skubal's Future in Detroit
si.comMLB Standings after weekend #15 - (7/6/26) - Simplified Logos
Standings changes from last week:
Dbacks took the 2nd spot - tie breaker lead over the Padres
Mariners took back the 1st place spot over the Rangers
Mets can't go any lower, so..... yay?
Apologies for the lackluster post this week. I'm working on some projects and hope to have a bigger updated standings next week for the All Star Break.
These logos are ones I had done in the past for one of my projects to make it easier for people who don't have multi-color printers (AMS units), so it only uses two colors which makes it easier for them to swap out colors when printing. I had these prints laying around already, so figured to mix it up with these lol
As always, this is a 3D print I created and printed myself and the files are FREE for anyone who wants to print it themselves. Can be found here with all my other MLB stuff- https://makerworld.com/en/collections/22583277-mlb-standings-slots
Standings info is all from MLB.com, so it's just a copy of what MLB.com says as of 7/6/26 this morning.
All my other prints (NFL, NBA, NHL, and some other stuff) can be found on my main profile - https://makerworld.com/en/@MikeCamel
Sorry, but I am NOT selling physical prints of this. My printer is just too small to do large batches, so no can do.
Before originally posting these standings, I asked the mods if it was okay, and I got the green light. I'm going to try to make this a weekly thing, as long as I remember lol.
Phillies reliever and N.C. A&T legend Al Holland dies at 73
qcitymetro.comRemember when MLB All Stars actually had All-Star level stats?
What is Pete Rose's ultimate legacy to you?
This one is so incredibly difficult because Pete Rose is a legendary player on the field and holds many records, but he also had many skeletons in his closet. It's not just the betting on baseball thing, but also other things that don't paint him in the greatest of lights both on and off the field. His legacy is so incredibly complex that it's hard to come to one concrete conclusion about it sometimes. What is his ultimate legacy to you?
Peter Lambert has proven his dominance in the Astros rotation
yardbarker.comAll about that "high can of corn"
A good piece here about the baseball phrase's origin and history, and about how and why the literal high can of corn was going out of date at the time of the baseball phrase's origin.
Eury Perez removed in middle of perfect game. Why do they hate baseball?
There are so few in history and so few chances, what are we doing here? There’s no reason short of an injury (none I could see) that they don’t let him try at least for 20/30 more pitches. I get if it’s just a no hitter but a perfect game is a different story. This is the worst version of asset management baseball - this game is for the fans and they let down all the Marlins/A’s (they booed the choice in the A’s stadium) and rest of baseball fans who want to see a perfect game.
Who have been the worst MLB Umpires of all-time?
With the news of CB Bucknor retiring at the end of the season, I had to explain to my wife why this was such good news in my mind. Bucknor was the last of that group of MLB Umps who were brazen in their incompetence.
Growing up you had Bucknor, Angel Hernandez, and Country Joe West who were some of the most egregious with how poor their strike zones were and how poor their call quality was over the decades. Hernandez and Bucknor just became bigger ass holes the more they got called out for being so bad too.
I would want to add Jim Joyce to the list as a Tigers fan, but he was generally good at his job sans the one REALLY BIG missed call. So I'm leaving him and Don Denkinger off. I'm not talking singular worst calls, I'm talking "should have been fired decades ago"-bad overall.
So who were some of the other really #bad umps in MLB all-time.
The most patriotic moment in MLB history was when Sammy Sosa ran out to right field with an American flag during the first game after 9/11. He then went on to hit a home run and rounded the bases with Old Glory in his hand. Happy Birthday, America! 🇺🇸
Does anybody else think of this question often, or is it just me?
I started watching baseball in June 2013. Obviously, great players have come and gone. As a Tigers fan, I still think about Victor Martinez, Miguel Cabrera, and I always get emotional watching Prince Fielder's retirement announcement.
Seeing how many new stars come about, a question I always think about is: At what point will there be no players who were around when I started watching baseball?
At this point, active players that come to mind who have been in the league at least since June 2013 include Justin Verlander, Mike Trout, Max Scherzer, Jose Altuve, and Salvador Perez. It's getting pretty thin.
Why do so many Mets fans want Francisco Lindor off the team?
This one mystifies me so much because Lindor's been fantastic for the Mets throughout his entire tenure, especially in 2024 with his MVP-caliber season. Most of the time, though, you wouldn't know it by how many Mets fans on social media rake him over the coals. I just want to know.....well, why? Do the Mets fans in this server also want Lindor gone or have a love-hate relationship with the de facto Captain of the New York Mets?

Jim Rice saves something more important than a flag
"Rather than just flying a flag, true patriots are frequently characterized by civic participation, community service, and working to improve their society for all its members."
