Braxton Ashcraft

I’m a mets fan, but every once in a while, i see braxton ashcraft pitching for the pirates, and i register him as one of, if not the most, underrated pitcher in baseball. Dude‘s already at 13-5 with 159 strikeouts, and last year, he was more of a swingman. Ashcraft could lowk be the new paul skenes if he keeps this up. His numbers are better than Skenes, and they’re eerily similar in some categories. I tuned in to watched him throw an 8 inning gem last night (while tatis took away a grand slam from my mets) and he did with striking out only 4. If there was an underrated player of the year award, he would be getting it.

Veterans who spent the last of their careers in a brief stint with the angels (Trey mancini tribute)

I am a mets fan and thought of these off the top of my head

Trey Mancini (2026)

Tim Anderson (2025)

Tim Linececum (2016)

Ehire Adrianza (2024)

Miguel Sáno (2024)

Fernando Valenzuela (1991)

Bo Jackson (1994)

Adam Eaton (2021)

J.D Davis (2025)

Chris Taylor (2026)

Kurt Suzuki (2022)

Shea Hillenbrand (2007)

Bullpen improvement?

So, the first half mets bullpen consisted of devin williams, luke weaver, brooks raley, brazoban, pretty big names, but they were still bullshit. Second half, they totally revamped it with unknown names and random debuts, but they’re are absolutely nails rn. They’ve helped the mets win a lot of games after the deadline. Williams, weaver, raley, and brazoban have been replaced by senga, yan, duarte, and lavender. All those guys (weaver, raley and brazoban) were great, but the replacements have been better (at least for a pretty small sample size). I still believe the mets have a 5% chance at the playoffs, cause they are on fire, and this bullpen is to blame. I’m starting to have hope in this team again, and i hope they’ll bring it over into 2027. LGM!

Jefry Yan is goated

I first saw Jefry Yan in spring training with the rockies and i was like “hopefully he comes to the mets”, and i saw him on the 40 man a few days ago. And in his debut this kid is mario jumping 5 feet in the air and escapes a bases loaded jam in the craziest mets game of the year. I don’t know how many bench clearing altercatoins he’s gonna get in, but i like his celly. One of the few bright spots in this dark season.
