2015 335i 144k on the clock. heard the knock and only drove home, upon removing the oil pickup, cylinder 5 was black. removed it and this is what i found. there are definitely grooves on the rod, rod cap, and crank journal, but not deep enough to completely stop my finger. Be honest, is there absolutely anyway to possibly polish and put new bearings in? or should i remove the crank, get it machined, new rod, new cap? i only have about 1k to work with budget wise and i’m honestly terrified. I’m only 17 lol.
