Brazilian pepper advice needed
The previous homeowner had two brazilian peppers in the backyard. I cut them down and brush applied Triclopyr all over the the stump ring immediately after like all sources suggested. The trees were then fully removed (the stump was ground) about a week later.
The problem is that the berries that were on the tree shoot seedlings. The furtherst roots that couldn't be ground are possibly doing that also), and probably didn't fully die.
This is near a pond with wildlife in it, I can't use herbicides. Pulling seems useless as they keep coming back. What can I do?
The rest of the backyard can be mowed and hopefully, maybe in years, it will give up sending up new shots. That's what I hope but I'm not sure that's how it works. Then one area near the retaining wall cannot be mowed on, and that's where most seedlings come up. Should I place landscape fabric on that bit? Would it help at all?
Any suggestion is welcome!
