Two pups

This is the first bromeliad I've had and was bought reduced to clear in a supermarket and looking very sorry for itself, so I'm surprised it's actually producing two pups! One pup looks big enough to cut off from what I've read, but will this affect the growth of the smaller one? Should I wait until that one is larger before cutting both off at the same time? The flower has also never opened, but I believe that they only produce pups towards the end of their lives. Any other advice would be welcome!

Yellowing leaves on Bromeliad?

Hi everyone. I’m new to this plant thing so please be kind🥺Wondering why my Bromeliad is starting to get some yellow leaves. I read online that it could be due to overwatering? But I try to only water whenever the soil looks dry, and it looks so dry to me right now.. but I don’t want to keep watering if I’m doing too much. Help a girl out 😩

It sits in front of a south facing window. TIA!

Root bound Duetero

This is a Dueterochonia longipetala that I clearly left too long in this little pot. This root-mass is quite tough and solid. The bottom isn’t too overgrown, but more so the roots growing around the outside edge. Should I try to loosen these roots, which I would do for other genera, but these roots are so woody and stiff and don’t have any give at all, that I’m not sure what the best course of action would be.

With my other terrestrial broms, I just dig out any loose media that I can and repot. I don’t worry too much about untangling the roots and they all grow like gangbusters. Any wisdom would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Can this pineapple be grown out?

There was a special event corporate rental at the event space my work is at yesterday and when I came in this morning everyone in the office had this bouquet on our desks. The pineapple is very much real and has a cut stem underneath it.

Can it be grown out? Do I cut the top off and plant it? What do I do? I’m interested in doing this for science lol

Could anyone identify this for me?

I placed an order with thesucculentsource and received this as a freebie! I have no clue what it is!! Google lens says it could be an tillandsia, BUT because of the sawtooth edged leaves I'm leaning towards a non-airplant bromeliad species. What do y'all think? Any guidance is very much appreciated ❤️

Pitcairnia Feliciana, the only bromeliad native to anywhere outside of the Americas. Endangered and found only in the mountains surrounding Kindia, Guinea. Was lucky to find it in person today!

I have loved bromeliads since I read about them in a children's book about the amazon rainforest as a child. When I learned that there is a bromeliad that has followed the same unusual life trajectory as myself (native to the Americas but somehow ending up in West Africa), I decided that I had to find it.
