Just adopted a 12yo 17.4lbs chonker. She was 17 when she arrived at the shelter on 5/30 and is now 15.4:).
She’s unable to groom her holes, I see bits of poop there and she smells of pee all over, any advice to help her groom, keep her clean?
Just adopted a 12yo girl cat 2 weeks ago. She’s been smelling of urine all over, I took her to the vet and stupidly forgot to ask about that because there was a bunch of other stuff I needed to ask. She is over weight (15.5lbs) and spayed. She doesn’t play in her litter box and I clean it multiple times a day. I see a little redness under her tail that the vet also noticed and told me to just use wipes. Any idea why the smell might be happening? I got waterless shampoo but want to fix the issue at the root. She always uses the litter box, haven’t had an issue with that.
I just adopted a senior baby, it was honestly a spur of the moment decision, I saw that she had been in the shelter for a long time and I decided she had to come home with me.
In just 2 days she’s become quite comfortable, she’s very affectionate with me, she’s just wonderfully perfect. She’s purring non stop, licking me, coming to me for pets, following me around.
The thing is, I haven't shared my space with anyone in years, and I'm a very light sleeper. I didn't realize how hard I'd find adjusting to having another living being in my space, especially at night.
So, I'd prefer to keep her out of my bedroom for now, but it feels so cruel. Every night I spend time with her until she falls asleep, then I go into my room. The moment I close the door, she wakes up and either meows or sits staring at the door (I have a camera). She does eventually settle for a while, but she'll start again later.
I tried sleeping with her (on the couch, I haven’t let her into my bedroom, mostly because it’s not yet cat proof), but I couldn't get more than about 20 minutes of sleep at a time. I’m also someone who already struggles with sleep averaging about 5 hours on weekdays.
I guess I just want to reach out to other cat parents and ask if it's okay to keep that separation for a little while until I get more accustomed to her. She's my first cat and such a special girl. If it turns out I need to prioritize her comfort and affection over my sleep, I'm willing to do that, I just want to make sure I'm doing what's best for her.

I’m just looking for an everyday T-shirt bra that I can wear under tight tops that actually does something for my girls. I generally go braless but that’s not an option at work. I don’t like the way I look in any of the bras I have tried, it’s either too much push up, they’re squashed down or I’m gapping.
I wear a 30B right now which works well enough on the tightest hook but I would love to find something better. So please share any recommendations for a 28 band. Thank you!
Help! Had this baby for 6 months and it was doing great, putting out new leaves, going up in prayer, colours were bright. But recently it started drooping and getting these spots
The room is about 55-60% RH and I only water with distilled or rain water. I did recently repot it.
