I removed some old dead leaves from the top of my bromeliad and discovered what appears to be a rotten tip/core. My first instinct is to cut below the rot but this is the only bromeliad I've owned. Any advice is welcome.

It's nothing fancy but they sure did get the foiling right on Bastion of Remembrance.
