Help me!

Hi everyone,
I’m 25 years old and was recently diagnosed with chondromalacia patella. My doctor explained that the cartilage under my kneecap has softened and prescribed exercises, medications, and physiotherapy.
My symptoms include:
*Pain around and above the kneecap
*Pain that is usually mild in the morning but gets worse by evening
*Pain when using stairs and getting up from a chair
*Some clicking/cracking sounds in the knee
No major swelling

I’ve only been in treatment for a few days, so I know it’s still early, but I’m feeling pretty anxious about the future. I’m a young mom and I’m worried about whether I’ll be able to live normally, travel, have another child in the future, stay active, etc.

I’m especially interested in hearing from people who:
Had Grade 1 or mild chondromalacia patella
Improved with exercises/physiotherapy
Returned to normal activities
Had follow-up imaging or long-term results
How long did your recovery take, and how are your knees now?
Thank you.
