Kevin Connor’s last attack takes out a Beyonder

Everyone knows about the great moment between Thor and Hyperion after this but I think this moment is also great. Kevin started out as just a college kid before he accidentally got the Starbrand and was never built to step into such power. The avengers were his heroes as much as they are ours.

I miss this guy as the Starbrand personally, I thought he was more interesting than any of the hosts who came after him as well. Never was happy with the way he went out.

Dead Money is amazing

I played on hardcore mode too. Yes I hated the dlc when I first played because I couldn’t navigate and was a map marker drone. After playing Morrowind this dlc runs beautifully. Environmental storytelling everywhere, an incredible story layered throughout that’s completely optional. Amazing new gear to find and top tier characters (everyone knows about them and can analyse them better than me) I went in as an energy weapons expert and was forced to adapt to melee and guns to survive whilst also being handed a very powerful tool that didn’t invalidate my main combat build.

I’ve seen people saying the vibes were not good but honestly… how? The Villa flooded in the cloud gives off an eerie atmosphere. It feels like an actual desperate attempt for survival where you’re forced to scrounge up whatever you can to keep going. I spent a lot of the Villa quests with crippled limbs that I couldn’t just cheese with stimpaks and sure it wasn’t easy but that’s the point.

Entering the Casino felt like an actual fever dream. It gives the vibes of entering a haunted house that no one should be in and its secrets should’ve been buried with the old world. I felt immensely claustrophobic (yes I did gamble for 10000 sierra madre chips, wonder what Elijah was wondering, he must’ve been like where the hell is she)

Now I did go into this dlc with high science which probably made a large difference. Being able to disable speakers and holograms that are otherwise persistent and oppressive but hey I managed without it in the past too.

Now don’t get me wrong I understand the frustrations people have with this dlc but this time around they didn’t bother me at all. I’d say narratively dead money has the best story of the 4 DLC’s while old world blues is my favourite overall but yeah I had a lot of fun and just felt like sharing that as most dead money posts I see are rather negative.
