21F feeling lost between MBA, SEO, Government Exams & Career Growth, what would you choose in my place?
Hey everyone,
I’m a 21-year-old girl from India and honestly I feel very confused about my career right now. I would genuinely appreciate some real advice from people who have gone through similar situations.
I completed my B.Com and currently I’m working in a startup IT company. I joined around a year ago. Initially they made me work in community management, but since January I’ve been shifted to SEO. Surprisingly, I actually started liking SEO and digital marketing, and now I do have some hands-on experience in it.
But now I’m stuck between multiple career options and I don’t know which direction makes the most sense for my future.
Right now I’m honestly confused between these career options:
Continue in SEO, gain deeper expertise, switch companies later and grow in digital marketing
Leave my job, prepare for MBA, get into a good college and aim for better placements/salary
Prepare for SBI PO / government exams because my family feels stability is important
Completely switch fields and learn something like Business Analytics or Data Analytics for better opportunities
The biggest problem is that I don’t want to waste years making the wrong decision. I come from a middle-class background, so financial growth matters a lot to me. Alsoo I want multiple income sources and a career where I can grow both financially and personally.
If you were in my position at 21, what would you choose and why?
I’d genuinely appreciate honest advice, personal experiences, or even reality checks.
