Why would MOTS-c clog a 0.22 μm syringe filter but SS-31 filters perfectly?

I recently reconstituted some MOTS-c and let it sit for about 30 minutes to dissolve before filtering.
I first tried filtering it through a sterile 13 mm 0.22 μm PES syringe filter. It started out fine, but the longer I filtered, the harder it became to push the solution through. Eventually it got so difficult that I couldn't push any more liquid through at all.
I then switched to a larger 33 mm 0.22 μm PES syringe filter and the exact same solution filtered with almost no resistance.
For comparison, I filtered SS-31 using the same 13 mm filters and it went through perfectly with no clogging issues.
My questions:
Is this likely just tiny undissolved MOTS-c particles clogging the smaller filter?
Does MOTS-c tend to aggregate in solution more than SS-31?
Has anyone else experienced 13 mm filters clogging with MOTS-c but not larger 33 mm filters?
Would you recommend letting MOTS-c sit longer before filtering?
Just trying to understand whether this is normal behavior for MOTS-c or if it suggests an issue with my reconstitution process.
Thanks!
