Issues with USB and Rekordbox.
I am a DJ and i need to use Rekordbox to export music files on my USB, so the DJ equipment can read them. Basically what happened is that i had a Kingston USB wich worked quite fine, but about 2 weeks ago started having some issues inside Rekordbox: while doing some basic operations inside the program (even just loading music to listen to it), rekordbox goes into "not responding" and there is no way to close it, even from task manager. Pulling out the USB from the PC, and the program goes back to normal.
So what i did is:
- removed all the non .mp3 files (.wav, .aiff, .flac, wich might be harder to read for the software);
-run an integrity check on the mp3 files with mp3checker 0.21, removed every file that was not listed as OK.
- formatted the USB with rufus, into FAT32.
Went back to rekordbox, works fine for a few minutes, goes back to not responding, same story.
Tried the process with another USB (Sandisk ultra), problem persist.
Updated USB drivers, and used different ports, but nothing changes.
All the operations listed before were done and a windows PC. There are issues even managing the USBs with Windows Explorer, since transfering files is really slow, and sometimes freezes so i havve to pull out the usb again to unfreeze the process.
I tried using another computer (MAC), instead of freezing it seems that the USB just gest randomly ejected cause rekordbox gives me an error message "the device was removed...".
Is it possible that i have 2 faulty USBs? Or did i somehow corrupt both of them with the files i had inside? I only manage music files (.mp3, .aiff, .wav) and the files that rekordbox creates.
Any sort of help is appreciated cause i am running out of ideas.
