I’m curious if it’s a red flag for company policy to be changed via WhatsApp?
A while back senior management sent a message in the WhatsApp group mentioning the next everyone now has to work five days in the office.
If anyone worked from home without a valid reason they would be unpaid for the days they worked at work.
No notice just a WhatsApp message the day before.
Currently the sole qa in the team I’m in. Due to AI, devs have been able to be efficient with products and they are a lot more things to test. I’m starting to feel like a bottleneck.
There are discussions about hiring another QA to the team. But they currently looking to see how things go with AI and integrating it with QA.
If there is a QA that ends up joining our team, would it be good to discuss with my manager about getting a job title change and also a pay increase? They mentioned if another QA joins the team, I would be leading them. I am currently a senior qa within the team.
I currently work as a senior qa engineer in an igaming / crypto company.
I’m the sole QA within the studio and cover three product lines, the slot games, crypto originals which are like mini casino games and predictive market games which have sometimes arcade games based themes.
Since I’m the only QA in the team, I own the test strategy, test processes, AI assisted testing and release sign off for the products I test.
Out of curiosity, I’m I underpaid for this role?
I’ve currently been in it for almost ten months.
I was planning to discuss it with my manager about a salary increase. My manager was recently let go due to restructuring.
I currently work in a small company of around 150 employees.
Recently the founder of the company wants everyone to be using AI day to day. We have a Claude enterprise membership.
The only problem is that we’re monitored in terms of our AI usage. So I have to be burning out a lot tokens.
There’s also been a restructure of the company and people had to be let go because of AI
