So I decided to clean my fans, or try to since I've never opened my laptop up (It says Acer Nitro 5, AN515-53-52FA on the bottom.)

Anyhow, there's this silver strip preventing the bottom of the case (the plastic bit) from leaving the rest. Other videos didn't have the silver bit when removing the case and I doubt this laptop has ever been opened up like this before.

You can probably tell it needs to be cleaned, and it overheats a lot which probably contributes to most of my issues with it.

I just need help identifying it and figuring out how to safely remove a side if I can and then figuring out how to put it back, assuming it needs to be there.
