Spousal PR Questions - Answer anything

  1. I have worked for a municipality for 4 days before; I was laid off due to HR not accepting my maintained status. I was unemployed for the rest of the month.

The consultant said not to add that employment to the application because it wasn't even a month, and it would complicate the application. But I don't feel that's right. What do you think? How important is work history for a spousal sponsor PR application?

  1. Another question is in form IMM5532, family and relatives in Canada, do I add all my wife's family who are in Canada? As they are related to me now as in-laws.
AI says to add everyone, but there are a hundred people in her family.

  2. For relationship pictures, first we lived together as girlfriend and boyfriend, after a year, we became serious and started living in marriage, like, a year after that we were common law, then we got married a year after. Should we add more pictures from one phase, like 2 from the girlfriend-boyfriend phase, more from conjugal them married?
Also, we have supporting letters from friends and family, along with letters we received on birthdays and Christmas, and pictures. Does it all go on the same document or different ones? We are also adding a relationship explanation document. What else can we add? Are we missing something?

  3. IMM5669: Background/Declaration form: Section E: Membership and association with organizations

What organizations have you supported, been a member of or been associated with? Include
any political, social, youth or student organization, trade unions and professional associations. Do not use abbreviations. Indicate the city and country or territory where you were a member. Check “none” in the first input field if you have not been a member of any association/organization.

The consultant said just to say NO here, whereas I have been part of multiple work unions, which come under a trade union. What would you recommend?

Gives answers to the best of your knowledge. Thank you.

AI is useless -_- Trying to remove white void areas between raster and google maps

I don't have much experience working with rasters. I have orthoimage tiles (.ecw format) at 10cm resolution. Even though I have a high-processing CPU, my QGIS keeps on crashing. I have to close every application and bring the CPU and memory down to 50% for the file to open. Just QGIS alone takes 3000 MB of memory; I checked the Task Manager.

REAL ISSUE:

These tiles have a white colour for nodata values. If I add Google Maps as a basemap, I have this white void space in between. I have added a zoomed picture. I want to make it transparent, but no AI solution worked. FAILED

Then I read that if I change the format to Geotiff, then it will be easy to mask using GDAL and make it transparent. Geotiff ortho is super grainy and looks hideous. Even though I was able to make it transparent, I can't use such a grainy picture. FAILED

What should I do? Can someone with more experience help me?

IMM 0008 - Language Test

Have you taken a test from a designated testing agency to assess your English or French skills?
Does this have to be yes for PR Spousal Application?
I have taken IELTS, but not in the last 2 years. So it is not valid anymore.

Should I answer yes or no on this form?

Do I need to add all the work I have done, even for less than 5 months, to my PR application?

It is not related to my education or current career. It was just for paying the bills in my home country.

I plan to include everything, including odd jobs I have done in Canada, but not in my home country. Would that be alright? I may have added it for my study permit, but I am not sure exactly what I added then. I travelled, I worked, I stayed with family, all in less than a year.

Thanks for any help.
