So I'm from India and you may probably already know the situation for Muslims here is not so good.

So my father is telling me to cut my beard because he says its not safe. But I think that So many Muslims around me also keep the full beard and nothing has happened to them so i feel its not a real danger that would excuse me and allow me to cut my beard.

But at the same time I also feel that maybe I don't know the situation as properly and maybe it is a risk and maybe I'm thinking wrong. Because if I go up to him and tell him i can't cut my beard its a sin and so many people also keep then he will say that I'm being stupid and foolish, when its not safe then what is the need to keep it? and i will have no reply because he's not completely wrong.

But I mean the problem is that he would be saying that even if it isn't a real risk, he wouldn't want me to keep a beard anyways, he wouldnt care about what situation actually permits me to cut the beard. So I'm confused now.

what do i do? Also if I want to ask this to a person of knowledge how can I do that? Is there any good website?
