I'm going to be installing chains to help support a shelf in my garage... I need to be able to drive some heavy duty screw eyes deep into a 2x6. What's my best option?

When we get toward the end, I know my mother will become unresponsive and unable to take morphine orally... Since we are on home hospice with a nursing team that only comes in once or twice a week, how will we be able to ensure that my mom gets dosed regularly to keep her comfortable during the dying process? I assume *I* can't administer the morphine myself. But I also don't want to have to call somebody in to give her a shot every time she gets restless. How does this all work?
