hybe good, geffen bad??
Hi everyone!! I have a question about the supposed reasoning behind manons hiatus
I've seen a lot of people online saying that "hybe loves manon, geffen is the one that sabotages her. geffen doesn't want to protect katseye, hybe does!" these are all taken from a 'drop your katseye hot takes' post.
i just wanted to know - what sources are behind this? where did this come from? what is the proof behind this theory? i'm completely open to believe it but so far i haven't seen a single person attach any evidence to justify their argument, even though i've seen this take 1000 times. just in my own complete personal opinion, i doubt that one label is innocent and the other is from the pits of hell. they both have to work together and make decisions for the group and it just sounds very unrealistic for one to be so in love with manon and the girls and for the other to want to tear them apart. i mean surely there's no way hybe just adores manon and wants to take perfect care of the members considering their reputation. the only somewhat reasonable theory ive heard so far is that in the us the girls have been dressed in less clothes while they were dressed more modestly in korea, but also part of me just thinks it's how both countries have different attitudes to modestly dressing. (again, i could be completely wrong, and if i am, please do not hesitate to share and correct me!)
if anyone can share where this originated and prove me wrong it would be DEEPLY appreciated. i'm more of a casual fan so i would love for someone to explain the evidence behind this!! thank you all 🙇♀️
