Hey everyone!

I am solo-traveling to Maui. I was going to do the entire Sliding Sands-Halemau’au Hike, however given the altitude and distance I have chosen not to do it alone. But I wanted to ask if anyone has done a modified version of the hike (shortened and turn back to where you came from.) I am thinking of ending at Pele’s Paint Pot then turning back. Is it worth it still ?
