Today (yesterday in Japan) marks 10 years since the Sagamihara massacre, in Japan, which occurred in a care home. Satoshi Uematsu cowardly stabbed 19 people to death and injured 26 others before being arrested. He was sentenced to death and today awaits his end on Death Row.

Satoshi targeted people with disabilities, especially patients who were unable to speak, believing that by committing the attack, he would be doing good for society, for the victims, and for their families, so they wouldn't continue suffering. Months before the attack, he wrote a bizarre letter to the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe where he explains his intentions. He was then admitted to a mental health hospital afterward, but he was released soon after.

Satoshi was not arrested immediately after the attack; he fled the scene of the crime and even posted a photo on Twitter. He turned himself in hours after the massacre.

In 2020, Satoshi attempted to plead insanity (somewhat ironically) during his trial, but he was sentenced to death.

It is one of the deadliest mass murders ever committed in Japan by a single individual.

Yesterday marked three years since the shooting at a shopping mall in Copenhagen, Denmark, where a 22-year-old gunman killed three people and injured seven before being arrested.

I should have posted this sooner, but here it is.

The shooter has been identified as Noah Esbensen, he was armed with a SIG Sauer 200 STR match rifle, along with a pistol and a knife that were rendered unusable during the act.

Noah He had a history of contact with mental health programs, he had been diagnosed with psychosis and schizophrenia, he kept a diary where he wrote about his fascination with Randy Stair, a 24-year-old who killed three people and himself in a shooting in Pennsylvania, and with serial killers; He also posted some videos the day before the shooting where he simulated suicide with the gun he would use the following day. The weapon belonged to his father and was kept in a safe; he was sentenced to internment in a psychiatric hospital in 2023.

The identities of the three deceased victims have not been released to protect their families, but they were a 47-year-old russian man who was with his children, a 17-year-old danish customer, and a 17-year-old danish shopping mall employee.

Thirteen years ago, The Santa Monica shootings were a wave of murders that occurred at Santa Monica College and surroundings, on the city of Santa Monica, Califonia, that resulted in 6 deaths including the attacker.

On that day in 2013, John Zawahri shot and killed his father and brother and set fire to the family home. He then took a hostage who took him to Santa Monica College, where he was a former student. Upon arriving at the scene, he fired dozens of shots that killed three more people. John was killed by police officers who responded

The shooter was dressed all in black including a black shirt with "police" written in white and a tactical vest, a backpack belonging to him was found with several rounds of ammunition and two more firearms, a three-page letters was also found where he detailed his remorse for killing his family members and says goodbye to his mother and friends, however, the letters did not detail the reason for him to commit the explosion of violence.

This case has caught my attention since 2022, and I've watched and read a lot about the perpetrator, thoughts for the families of the victims and the shooter (two of the victims are related to him).

The content of the photos isn't very explicit.

The images were made available in the first episode of the recent documentary VINA: PŘÍPAD Z VYSOKÉ ŠKOLY about the massacre. The upcoming episodes may focus more on the attack at the University.
