How do I break into food science/R&D with QA experience?
Hi everyone,
I recently finished my master’s in Human Nutrition, have a bachelor’s degree in Food Science, and about a year of QA experience in food manufacturing. I’m interested in moving into food science roles like R&D, product development, or sensory, but a lot of entry-level positions still want direct experience.
For people already in the industry, what’s the best way to get my foot in the door? Are there certain roles, skills, or certifications I should focus on first?
I’m based in Texas. Thanks!
