Has my clinic failed us?

Trigger warning - mention of infant death
Disclaimer: please don’t give me the toxic positivity comments like “it was meant to be” or “god never gives us more than we can handle” because I do not get comfort from it.

Has anyone been in this position before? My IVF bub was born in November 2025, I used Monash IVF Australia.

Since birth, he has had numerous never ending health issues, and recently I received his genetic testing results showing multiple mutations in different genes, which point to 2 very rare, fatal disorders, and some others (Menkes Disease, Mabry Syndrome etc). Both of these are detectable through embryo testing from my understanding.

Here’s the thing, I was never offered PGT testing, no one ever spoke to me about it or offered it. I’ve looked and it states it’s recommended for people with recurrent miscarriages - I’ve had 10+… so I’m unsure why it’s been missed/skipped?! Appreciate I was 25/26 at the time of treatment, but I have a looooong fertility history.

What do I even do? I paid a pretty penny for IVF, only for my baby to die soon and it could’ve been avoided. Had I known, I wouldn’t be in this position. The embryo wouldn’t have been implanted. My son wouldn’t be in pain and suffering every single day. I’m absolutely heart broken and feel like I’ve been failed by my clinic.

Hi all, my young son is getting an assistance dog, where I will be the main handler, and we will be owner training with a professional trainer, rather than an organisation dog due to cost.
We do have hospital stays due to his medical conditions, usually either QCH or Redcliffe - does anyone know if QLD health has specific policies/procedures in regards to assistance dogs coming in, that I could refer to?
Obviously I know about the Acts/Laws, but would like to read policy specific to QLD health and their hospitals if possible!
