My poor girl has low grade ivdd according to her vet. She is on medication and on kennel rest. I’m trying to give her the best chance at conservative recovery. This is her stretched out in her crate. I’m thinking she needs a bigger one? Her tail cannot stretch out. Or maybe a play pen so I can get her in and out more easily for potty breaks? Is fluffy or firm bedding better? She is able to walk (I am highly restricting walking unless she has to go potty) should I use a towel as a sling to support her back end when she’s taking steps during potty breaks? Can she sleep in bed with me? I’m planning to ask my vet these questions. Of course these questions came to me after the vet visit. Any advice and or success stories are welcome.
