Attached is a short video of a Smith Corona Clipper that I’ve cleaned up. However it makes unpleasant tinny sound when typing. The grommets are in place underneath, all screws secured and I put it on a thick felt mat. Any ideas would be gratefully received. 😊

Hello typewriter friends. I had to take the platen off and managed to break the clutch knob. I’ve glued it together and it seems okay but I can’t put it back together. I know the order it just comes loose when screwing it into the platen. Can anyone advise me please?
I got this yesterday for £21.50 and discovered that it has a really interesting typeface. I love the way it types 🥰
Me again. I have, possibly stupidly, bought a Remington Quiet Riter Miracle, cheaply knowing it lacks a return lever. I’m in the UK and spied a replacement lever on EBay. Sorted I thought. Sadly it’s in the US and they can’t ship to the UK. Is there anyone in the UK with a lever I could purchase? 🤞🏻

I’m finally nearing the end of a Remington Model 5 repair. I need to fire up the draw band but I can’t find where to attach it to the carriage. I don’t have one of those little metal bracket things. I also have some odd bits left over and have no idea where they (note to self take more photos and improve cataloguing).
