School spanish vs real life spanish.
Eight years of spanish classes prepared me to describe my backpack and ask where the bathroom is. I recently visited my cousin in san diego, met his friends and understood maybe 20% of the conversation. Everyone was cutting words short, using expressions i never heard and talking nothing like the recordings from class.
My grades were good, so i thought i had a decent level. Turns out i am great at worksheets and terrible at normal conversations lol.
Where do you learn the spanish people use with friends, not the version written for exams?
