Is this case real?

I heard about this case decades ago, but when ChatGPT couldn't find it, I got suspicious. It goes like this. A bride was upset at the poor quality of the photographs taken by the wedding photographer she hired. As revenge, she looked through the engagement announcements in her local newspaper each week and contacted each of the brides and warned them not to hire the wedding photographer that she hired. The wedding photographer sued this woman and won. This case would have happened before 2005.

Does this case sound familiar to anyone? Is it real?

I've had my 2022 Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G for 3 years and looking to upgrade. Before, I never had trouble finding a new phone every couple of years where everything was an improvement. Now, after searching GSM Arena, that's no longer the case and I have to compromise on features I want to get features I really want.

My Motorola has a 6.8" screen and I don't want to go backwards. There are few phones with screens 6.9" and larger but they either don't have a card slot or 3.5mm jack. One has a weird resolution that's less than my existing phone. At least one isn't even 5G. Others are too expensive or not available in the US.

I didn't want to threadcrap on the "Have we reached peak smartphone?" thread, but it looks like we're past the peak. Sad. Guess I'll hang onto my existing phone for a few more years.

I just ported my number to Tello yesterday. I left Mint after 8 years because my voicemail stopped working a week ago and neither they nor I could fix it. After porting to Tello, I'm experiencing the same issues. Everything on my phone works fine. I just can't access voicemail at all. I don't want to use a 3rd party app for voicemail since I shouldn't have to.

Long press on #1 disconnects immediately. Same for dialing 123 and dialing my own number.

I've got the correct APN settings according to Tello's website.

I've rebooted my phone

I've reset my voicemail.

I've removed and re-seated the SIM card

I've toggled Airplane mode

I've reset network settings

I called Mint and they closed the ticket without telling because "no problem on our end." That's when I left. I opened a ticket with Tello and they haven't looked at it yet.

Phone: 2022 Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G. Bought this phone new 2023 and it worked flawlessly until voicemail stopped working last week. I'm in the US.

I'm honestly at the end of my rope here and asking for help. What else can I try?
