The fact that the last proper piece of destiny lore is and will always be star wars slop is pretty sad
Got back into the game for obvious reason, got around to doing the free first mission of Renegades and good lord, I GET IT! ITS STAR WARS, I FUCKING GET IT
I dont mind some reference, but the fact that the opening to a new dlc is;
*Space battle with lasers, Giant ship that looks like its straight from star wars, a big bad that walks throught smoke and blaster fire while wearing clearly mechanical suit, another cloaked bad guy that looks like a sith, enemy group is called imporium (cuz i guess empire is trademarked), the ship looks identical to a empire ship, WE GO THROUGHT A GARBAGE DISPOSAL.
And its only half of the first mission + opening cutscene. Like cmon, i get it, star wars. I didnt come to destiny to Play star wars. I want destiny, i want more hive, hive gods, eliksni, taken. Not cheap star wars knock off
I know im a bit late to the party but after playing the first mission i just Had to rant. That shit felt like a garbage Disney show that just wants to farm nostalgia points of old star wars, exept we're not playing star wars, we're playing destiny
