Sometimes I'm in the bubble I can shoot out of it. Sometimes I'm on the outside & I can shoot into it or through it. At first I thought it was anti-barrier rounds, but then I switch weapons to another anti-barrier and it doesn't shoot through it? What am I missing? Please and thank you...

I’ve wanted to get into Destiny so many times, but I’ve never fully taken the plunge. That’s why I wanted to ask current active players: What do you love most about the game? What activity do you find yourself sinking the most hours into? Also, is there a decent stream of new players getting into it right now?

Would love to hear your thoughts before I finally download it!

I have been getting back into D2 to just do everything and two of my friends who have never really played the game are wanting to do the same. I went ahead and made a new character, but I have been playing for quite some time.

Now while we go through some of the old content like shadowkeep (they wanted to experience everything lol) we are getting vastly different leveled gear. I am getting gear that has gotten me up to 400 power level, another friend has gotten up to 367, but one friend is for some reason stuck at 302? We have done every activity together and we are really confused. Any insight here? Its been a bit since ive played, especially with a new light so I don’t know what could be causing this.

You see, there’s this game… and there’s an OP build in that game. And it requires a LOT of sliding around. And I use this controller with buttons on the underside.

I have to take a break from Stasis Titan to let my finger heal.

Is there a way to get tier 5 armor and weapons from destinations when they are not distorted like neptune, pale heart? I am only referring to the planets except for kepler and the lawless activities.

I’ve just grinded for the 4 piece exodus down set bonus to go along with my solar hunter crackshot build but I’m struggling to work out which mods to use.

My previous build used 2x time dilation and 1x powerful attraction on the class item, 2x surge and 1x stacks on stacks on legs, 3x charged up on chest, and 1x siphon on helmet.

This feels a bit clunky to work around the set bonus as it prioritises surge uptime at the cost of not losing armor charge often so not getting much damage reduction.

Is it worth using utility kickstart in place of time dilation? This feels weird though because I’ll use crackshot during damage phases and I gain the DR but lose all of my surge bonuses.

Emergency reinforcement seems like it could be good on the chest, losing 3 of 5 armor charges would increase DR and still keep my surges up.

Note I’m using this build for solo flawless dungeons, attempted and completed all but Vespers and Equilibrium with the Lustrous 4 piece bonus and this was pretty useful with an all solar class but heard the exodus 4 piece would be better so trying to experiment but struggling with Dredgen Sere at the moment with exodus

Please bear with me. I've been out of the loop. I know that Destiny 2 is not releasing any new content. The last expansion I did buy was The Final Shape. I had just returned to the game back then since the Forsaken so I played through each expansion. I've not yet bought the 2 most recent expansions - The Edge of Fate and Renegades.

There's a reward pass and some kind of seasonal content. Is this now going to be around indefinitely?

Also what should I be working towards? I logged into the game and my gear levels have all dropped down to 1. The new power cap is supposedly 300? What should I be doing right now considering there isn't any "end game" if I got that right? Would really appreciate any guidance or path to follow.

I was thinking about this after a few activities where the room looked dangerous on paper, but the solution was basically just "do more damage faster."

The enemies I remember are usually the ones that force me to change my behavior.

Something that punishes standing in one place. Something I have to prioritize immediately because leaving it alive changes the whole fight. An enemy that makes me break cover, watch a specific angle, save an ability, or stop tunnel-visioning the boss for five seconds.

Those feel way more interesting to me than taking a normal enemy, giving it a giant health bar and calling that difficulty.

I don't mind tanky enemies when there's a reason for them to be tanky. But if the only difference is that my magazine now needs to meet the same guy three times, I don't really feel challenged, just delayed.

Which Destiny enemies actually make you play differently the second they show up?

Just spent around 300 legendary marks on the tenet of bravery and none dropped with it, is it only obtainable as the focus on vanguard alerts or just not obtainable?

I've been rocking the Horus ghost shell for years with a matching bird themed fashion for my warlock and I'm hoping that somewhere out there is an STL file for the Horus shell so I can 3d print my ghost (his name is Stryx) because I can't find one for the life of me.

I have successfully cleared Vespers Hosts solo flawless but now its onto sundered doctrine to round out my list.

I'm planning to attempt it on my warlock since you can snap away the lockset for the free encounter, but I'd still be very accepting of everyone's tip/tricks/stats.

I will have done them all if I get the solo flawless for sundered doctrine, which I think is pretty cool.

Hello Guardians, I am new to playing Destiny (aside from being in the original alpha/beta tests back in the day) and had a quick question about social cues for lack of a better term. If i am say level 9 and am running by a level 40 fighting enemies, how is it seen if i jump in and attack the same enemies? Like is it “Thanks fellow guardian keep up the good fight”, “aww look at the baby trying to help isnt that adorable” or “hey punk stop trying to steal my kills” (whether thats even a function of this game seems irrelevant to some players based on past experience in other games). Likewise, is it considered rude or helpful if youre higher level and jump in to “help” a lower one? If this is somehow not appropriate to the subreddit or just outright silly idk then the mods can delete but im genuinely wondering what the vibe/protocol is.

I started sensibly: solar, void, arc, then activity names. Now I have twelve nearly identical symbols, three loadouts called “test,” and one red snake icon that apparently means something important to past me. Opening the menu feels like reading evidence left by a less organized Guardian. Do you use colors for subclasses, icons for activities, or names for specific exotics? I want a system that survives balance changes without needing a full archelogical dig every month. Bonus question: what icon have you assigned a meaning that the designers definitely did not intend?

I’m sure it has been discussed in here before, but I just finally got my last red border, and I’m wondering what the god roll is for hunter dps. I’m planning on using still hunt and celestial nighthawk with it.

I'm running into an issue with Micro Missile Frame Special Grenade Launchers where none of them seem to have access to the weapon stat enhancement mods (like +10 reload, handling, etc.).
I've tested this across Gizmo Weft, The Mountaintop, and Theodolite. Every single one of them is upgraded to Tier 5 / fully enhanced, yet the stat boost mod socket is either completely missing or grayed out / empty.
Meanwhile, literally all my other Tier 5 / enhanced guns have full access to these mods without issue. I'm Guardian Rank 9, so all mod unlocks and Enclave progressions are already completed.
Is anyone else experiencing this with Micro Missile GLs?

I came back for the last update, but I never got divinity before now. I'm trying to go back and get it, but it seems like I've hit a dead end. I have the quest, but the lecturn no longer exists, so I can't exchange the phantasmal fragments for the next step. Is there some other way to get this exotic or am I screwed?

By talking about taking over the entire world I mean fighting of world militaries, and surviving. There are no respawns, so you’d obviously need self healing. What destiny build would you think be the best option? Assume that you have a similar health system to the game, and an average soldier has the health of a red bar legionary on normal mode. You have access to sparrows and skimmers, the only way to get one shot is by a powerful explosive, but it can be warded off with a well of radiance or a bubble, and other defensive options. By the way this is in no way promoting or inciting real world violence, this is just a fun hypothetical question.

Im wondering if there's any way to track how many kills you get on blue weapons, either through DIM, in game, or any other way. So far the only way I've found is on Destiny 2 report.
