A group of 6 adults with no prior experiences in Destiny 2, RPGs, or video games is given an infinite amount of time to beat Salvation's Edge. How long does it take them?

Assume all 6 are in the standard intelligence range of slightly below average to slightly above average.

The team is given two titans, two hunters, and two warlocks, as well as access to every weapon, ability, and armor piece in the game (corresponding to their respective classes of course).

They are locked in a room with unlimited food and water, as well as the gaming implement of their choosing, but they cannot use the Internet to access anything other than Destiny 2, in which they are not allowed to exit the raid.

They do not know each other, therefore they have no prior experience working together. Think of it as being like an LFG group of noobs.

How long does it take them to figure out and complete each encounter? The entire raid? Is it reasonably possible?

Tell me your solo dungeon builds

Looking to finally go around soloing and possibly flawlessing some dungeons. I've tried before but I always go with mini hammers and for some reason despite being a titan since alpha my brain seems allergic to them. All classes what do you guys like to run for your dungeons?

I just realized were now forever 29

Back then in d1 (never was playing then) people were stuck at level 29

Now in destiny 2 whatever expansion or dlc or whatever we had before this was season 28 and now we're permanently in season 29

Hence Forever 29

Desert Perpetual is one of the best raids, so it's a shame that pick up groups are spare for it.

Getting back to the game after a year, and finally got to doing Desert Perpetual the other day. Seems like a chili, fun raid. But it's so hard for me to learn and find time for because LFG's are firing off on it so rarely. Trying to learn enough to do the epic version. I see lots of ads for the other raids, but I'm just surprised because of how well designed this one is imo.

To the player named George W's Bush,

Just wanted to say thanks for existing with that name. You made me laugh after a stressful day. I gave you a high score in the tower.

Not for nothing though, this is really the sort of low-key thing that I've always found great about this damn game, outside of the gameplay itself.

I soloed my first Grandmaster strike last night and I have a question.

I’m mainly a solo player so when Grandmasters first came out I never tried to do one. I put it off for years but I decided to finally try one so I could finish the trophy & get the Platinum.

I did Warden of Nothing and managed to do it in about 30 minutes. The question I have is for anyone who played it when the Grandmaster WoN first released & has played it recently. How does the difficulty compare from then to now? Is it about the same? A little easier? Way easier?

Reminder: Ada-1 has a 6 year old Halloween Shader that was bugged so not a soul had it till this reset. Get it before tomorrow.

It's called Alchemy Scorch. Get it before tomorrow reset.

It was added to the game in 2020 but there was no way to obtain it so nobody had it despite it being in collections. The worst part is it was actually not bad looking at all. Years went by, Festivals appeared but the shader remained locked away despite being reminded every year by posts to add it. And of all places for it to end up, it's Ada-1

Black cloth, dark green metals that have faint flowing animations and glowing parts flicker green.

She is on a weekly reset not a daily. So if you have it already that means you got it sometime this last week.

Edit: I'm seeing people saying they had it already prior to this weekly reset and that's blowing my mind because this is a controversial shader that nobody was able to get. I'm pretty sure there's a website that tracks distribution rates and it was at 0 till this week.

If you did get it before this week then you had an incredibly rare gem on your hands and must have gotten it in the most random of places.

@Destiny2Team announces the end of Insurrection Prime Div Cheese for tomorrow's final patch. "Our condolences to every player that now needs to learn the encounter mechanics."

https://xcancel.com/Destiny2Team/status/2074164312491606188

> Small patch note preview for tomorrow, Re: Pantheon

> Fixed an issue where players could use Divinity to deal damage to Insurrection Prime outside of the standard damage phase.

> As a result of this fix, Divinity and any damage applied to its cage will not deal damage to Insurrection Prime at any point in the encounter.

> * In other words, do not use Divinity.

> * Insurrection Prime's Fallen Tech has been updated to circumvent this exotic weapon.

> Our condolences to every player that now needs to learn the encounter mechanics.

What is your "guilty pleasure" weapon?

It doesn't need to be a bad weapon per se, it could even be meta or top tier. What I mean is a weapon you don't want to use for whatever reason, yet you keep using because you enjoy it.

In my case, that would be Taraxippos. I hate Omolon weapons, they are too chunky and plastic-looking. I don't like the firing sound or the liquid-ammo thingy.

And yet. And yet. I can't stop using it with my warlock. I've always used a FttC/Hatchling one with the different reissues and I can't find a replacement (not for lack of trying) that feels as good to use. I like it in PvE, I like it in PvP (poor player as I may be). Definitely my favourite strand primary.

Anyway, what is that weapon for you? That one that makes you think "ugh" but you can't stop using.

What Revised Destinations/World Drop weapons are you using?

I'm really enjoying Chroma Rush (The Splicer AR from World Drops.), Biting Winds (The Europan Bow from Europa.), and Synchronic Roulette (The Neomuni SMG from Neptune.). And I'm looking at the craftable Destinations weapons that I haven't Shaped in years wandering which may be worth it.

Fel Taradiddle, the Bow from Savathuun's Throne World has Shoot to Loot + Adhesive Ordanance. That seems interesting.

Dimensional Hyptrpchoid, the heavy Wave-Frame GL from Neomuna Rimestealer + Crystalline Corpsebloom. That could be a Legendary Salvation's Grip.

I'm not seeing anything else that raises an eyebrow for myself.

I have already been deleting stuff cuz ran out of vault space. And I only main warlock.

Ia there a good way to find shitty stuff in DIM inventory?

Like a logic I put in that tells me what armor or weapons suck?

Manually doing it Marie Kondo style is too much emotionally.
Not everyone has a Datto.
Anyone wanna help? Hahha

Is Lustrous armour any good anymore or has is been superseded?

I missed solstice so never got any Lustrous armour originally. Obviously now being able to get it easily is it worth getting a set ?

This is probably a stupid question, but how do you start Kell's Fall?

It drops me in a camp with some non-hostile scourge with no context and there's nowhere to go. There's a gap to jump across but it feels impossible to make it without jump ability.

Edit: Okay it turns out they just disable blink in this spot for some god-forsaken reason.

Mother of god, idc what build you have, in the GM, you have a headset and no mic, if you hear an enemy going nuclear, RUN!

I get the new player experience and all that, but I’m playing with level 550’s and if you can run up and just kill a nuclear enemy and you hear that skin sound, run! It’s as simple as that. Just list another run cause we had one dead, no revived and we were fine, but one nuclear enemy and I ran, and my teammate didn’t, and boom, dead.

This is what I’m saying man. It’s so fucking random and bullshit lmao.

Either kill them as fast as possible or run the fuck away when you hear them going off. You will not survive, idc what build you have.

Stop wasting revive tokens just because you can run away 50 feet. Good lord. I’m LL 480 Titan, and I rarely die. Ran this about 20 times with randoms. And we run out of revive tokens every time to nuke enemies. Just run the fuck away! Good lord.

Or melt them with winterbite like I do. You can hear it in your headset, if you hear it, run.

If I can’t get to them and I hear it, I run back. As my two teammates that are listening to a podcast or whatever, both stand in the AoE and die.
😂😂😂😂.

And they wonder why we run out of revives.

I’ll just day this too, eveycoey bitch about random matchmaking for GMs and raids. And idc if somebody is LL 550, it doesn’t make you good. Theyre still absolute idiots. Playing with randoms just doesn’t work in the hardest GMs or raids. I’ll leitetslky text for the GM first room and say “stick together right.” And sure enough 550 goes solo mid and left and dies.

Fucking idiots man lmao.

Edit: and I’ll be honest. It’s pretty damn cool titans can tank it with a sword or glaive.

And I’m sorry Hunter and woarlocks, but you can’t fucking tank it. Making Titans superior 😂nah we need tether and we’ll and shit later. Just ticking hesr the audio queue and run away damnit lol

Red Border Farming locations

As most of you know (guaranteed some don't so I'll explain anyway) certain pinnacle ops in the portal, can be farmed for red borders, if you put on Classic Collector. I spent a couple of hours yesterday, running Presage on normal difficulty, and got a guaranteed 2 red borders per run, which take 15-20 minutes.

With that said, I'm trying to find the best method of using my deepsight harmonizers, since you can only get one a week (if Xur sells one, which isn't guaranteed). So with that said, can anyone help fill in the source for some of these seasons?

Season 16 (Season of the Risen) - Vox Obscura

Season 17 (Season of the Haunted - Presage

Season 18 (Season of Plunder) - Xur/ no mission

Season 19 (Season of the Seraph) - Seraph Shield

Season 20 (Season of Defiance) - Avalon

Season 21 (Season of the Deep) - Xur/ no mission

Season 22 (Season of the Witch) - xur/ no mission

Season 23 (Season of the Wish) - Star Crossed

Season 24 (Episode Echoes) - Encore

Are all of the question marks only available from obtaining the gun from vendors and using deepsight harmonizers? Or are there some sources I'm forgetting.

Also, weapons like Corassion, which was introduced in Echoes, I don't believe drops from Encore, so do those fall under the same boat, or am I mistaken on them dropping in Encore?

Just trying to map out my grind. Appreciate the assistance.

EDIT: Thanks to Jamanas96 for sharing that link to crafted weapon sources, I was able to add some resources.

As it stands (and will probably be forever) Season of the Plunder, Deep, and Witch, are the only 3 seasons that do not have missions associated, so you'll have to get those from Xur. So those are probably the best weapons to use harmonizers on.

Can any one confirm that Xur drops these randomly from engrams, or the Xur source is strictly waiting for him to sell them? Also, if they drop from his engrams, so they drop has red borders?

Lastly, from the spreadsheet that was shared, it looks like Imperial Decree, Goldtusk, Death's Razor, Throne Cleaver, are the only 4 craftable weapons with no source. Can anyone confirm that?

SECOND EDIT: Someone pointed out to me that Imperial Decree, and the three class swords have been added to Xurs loot pool. Meaning every single craftable weapon in the game is obtainable. Deepsight Harmonizers obviously can be used for any craftable weapon, but for ease, id say its smartest to use them on Plunder, Wish, or Deep weapons. Maybe even the two weapons in Duality.

My final question, last year (or two?) Bungie updated the class swords so they can be used no matter what class you are on. For those that got them to drop from Xur, was is your particular class sword, or for example, did you get Goldtusk to drop on a Warlock or Titan?

Factions :c

Yesterday I was looking through my old armor sets and ornaments, and near the end I came across the old FWC gear. I forgot how much I loved those sets back in the early days of Destiny, and it honestly made me a little sad knowing they're probably never coming back.

It wasn't just the armor, either. I really miss Faction Rallies. They were basically like Guardian Games, except they happened regularly and actually gave each faction its own identity. Grinding for unique loot, repping your faction, and feeling some actual loyalty to it made the world feel a lot more alive.

I know they had their issues, but I still think Destiny lost something when factions disappeared. Maybe it's just nostalgia talking, but if we ever get a Destiny 3, I really hope they bring factions back...
