I said goodbye to someone and walked off like the conversation was over.

About 2 seconds later I realized we were both heading in the exact same direction.

So instead of a clean exit, we ended up walking next to each other in complete silence for the next few minutes. 😭

At that point I wished I had just never said bye in the first place.

Please tell me I'm not the only one this happens to.
