What is it called when a part of the final chorus in a song changes, e.g. a different vocal melody

A good song to use as an example would be Say It Ain't So by Weezer, where in the final chorus he switches the melody for the line and does a really high falsetto note.

Do I sound like an entitled arse if I say...

I really hope they don't release this album before fall, I'm seeing them in August but I absolutely love TOTBL, and I know I won't be able to hear every song I would like to but I'd at least like to hear a few beside Obstacle 1. And I also have never really been as much of a fan of the newer stuff. Probably sound like an arse but curious if anyone feels similar
