Birmingham City University (Curzon Campus) – Safety, Crime Rate, and Part-Time Job Opportunities?
Hi everyone,
I am an international student from India and I will be starting my MSc at Birmingham City University in September 2026. My classes will be at the Curzon Building campus in Birmingham city centre.
I would like to hear from current students or people who live in Birmingham:
- How safe is the area around Birmingham City University and the Curzon Building?
- What is the crime situation like for students? Are there any areas I should avoid, especially at night?
- Is student accommodation near the university generally safe?
- How is student life at Birmingham City University?
- What are the opportunities for part-time jobs for international students in Birmingham?
- How difficult is it to find part-time work in retail, hospitality, warehouses, or other student-friendly sectors?
- Are there good internship and graduate job opportunities after completing an MSc?
Any advice, experiences, or tips would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
