My daughter is a little over 5 months and lately she gets SO interested whenever we’re eating. She keeps leaning forward and trying to sit up to watch us at the table 😅 Our pediatrician mentioned we could probably start solids soon, but I’m still unsure what signs actually matter when it comes to being “ready” for a high chair.

Did your baby need to be sitting completely on their own first, or were you comfortable starting with some support? And for anyone doing baby led weaning, did features like a footrest or adjustable seat height end up being important, or not really?
