The fog was BLINDING and it BURNED (Tulsa 5/14)
I need to know if anyone else had the same experience we did! The fog machines were TERRIBLE and lowkey diminished our otherwise great experience at the Cain's Ballroom show tonight.
We were lucky enough to be in the first couple of rows, very close to the stage. As soon as EC's set started setting up, they started puffing fog through machines to set the ambiance. At first, it was fine. Then the smell hit -- it was awful. Like cleaning supplies and oatmeal (somehow?) and borderline nauseating.
Then, about 2-3 songs in, the burning started. Everyone in my friend group, AND the people around us, were all complaining about how badly our eyes burned. Crying made it significantly worse. I couldn't see through the burning crying and blinking I had to do, and the fog just kept coming.
People around us could barely breathe and everyone had burning eyes. Did this happen at any other show? Is it just this venue going overboard? There were moments that we could BARELY see EC through the fog. When we all exited the theater, you could see it coming out of the back of the building 100ft away from the stage.
Otherwise I loved the show, but I'm nervous for anyone going tomorrow that they're gonna experience the same thing :/ it hurt so bad
