Recs/tips for a half frame camera that has a large aperture

Hello!

I posted a while back asking for tips on how I can improve low lighting shots on my Kodak Ektar h35n (for images like below) and a lot of comments told me to just upgrade cameras.

I’ve gone a deep dive on YouTube and EBay for half frame cameras, but I’m having trouble finding something that fits the things I appreciate with the Ektar h35n. I really enjoy taking half frame pics, using 35mm film, and like that the camera itself is so easy to just fit into my pocket. I enjoy using point and shoots, I think an slr would be too big and complicated for me.

I’ve seen the Konica autofocus recorder online, and while it meets most of my goals, I’m worried the aperture (f/4 aspect of it, idk if aperture is exactly the right word) is good enough. Does anyone know of any camera recs that are half frame, not too bulky, can easily grab and go, and is <$200? Or have any tips on what aperture specs I should be looking for to get more light?

(Note all the images I’ve attached are ones I’ve taken on my current Kodak Ektar h35n with flash on)

does the embassy location i go to matter in getting a tourist visa?

hello!

I live in the US, Texas specifically. Recentally the Chinese embassy in my state closed down and technically we're supposed to use the embassy in DC. I have plans to travel to Vancouver, Canada and another friend (also lives in Texas) will by visiting NYC.

Does anyone know if either of us can get our Chinese tourist visas through the Chinese embassy's in NYC or Vancouver even though they're technically not zoned to us since our permanent residence is in Texas?

I know applying online is another option, but is apparently more expensive than going in person. I hear there are agencies where you can pay people to take your documents for you to the embassy, but don't know of any reliable ones. Any help on this, or on getting a visa in general would be appreciated!
