I am attending UMN during the Fall semester this year, and I was wondering... whats the best way to make friends?

I'll be moving away from my friends in NV for context, so I am a little nervous but willing to make new friends 🫠 is it something I should wait to do until I get on Campus? Or is there a way current students start interacting with each other before classes begin?

A bit of this is yes, because of living off-Campus. I want to find a person I actually get along with instead of somebody random where it's like 50/50 we get along or not 😭
