Advice on general strike situation
Hi, I’m flying w/ TAP to Lisbon on june 3rd and arriving on June 4th in the morning, I’ll be there just to attend a wedding so I cannot reschedule it for later. I received the communication about the strike, but I cannot reschedule directly with TAP as I booked my ticket with FlightHub. I spent 6 hours on the phone with both companies trying to get it rescheduled to June 1st free of charge (TAP is offering it) but they can’t confirm it right away and asked for 72 hrs to 13 business days (lol)
I have a few scenarios and would like to hear from other travellers & locals:
1 - wait and see: if they change my flight to June 1st
2 - wait and see: if they don’t change my flight, hope that they don’t cancel it on June 3rd
3 - book a different flight with another airline and hope that they cancel it on June 3rd to use my travel insurance.
TLDR: arriving the day after the strike, but flying tap and fearing that flight will get cancelled.
